Texas is the reason

Size definitely matters in many aspects of life. Have you ever tried to fit an entire little league team into a VW Bug? Better yet, have you ever tried fitting three pizzas into one box? If so, kudos to you for being so optimistic. However, these situations tend to not have as dire consequences as some.

Picture this: the year is 2021. Much of Texas has been stricken by a giant storm system that dumped snow and froze crucial elements of civil infrastructure as well as made travel very difficult if not downright impossible in some areas. The event has been dubbed in the restoration industry as “The Texas Freeze” or simply “The Big Freeze” due to its historic and uncharacteristic nature.

SERVPRO dispatched several Disaster Cleanup crews and put out an APB to all the franchises across the country. So many hands were needed, in fact, that new hires were being brought on and trained on the spot in real-time. It was the single largest job that SERVPRO has ever worked on, comparable only to Hurricane Katrina.

How did we pull this off? Simple: we have a massive network of locations that have an open line of communication at all times. Over 1,550, to be exact. With this kind of firepower, there is no job that is too large for SERVPRO.
